My poke bowl experience has been really intense lately | I have discovered this magic Hawaiian bowl creation less than a year ago in Paris, got more familiar with it in LA and now am happy to share with you my homemade recipes // 🍚 sushi rice marinated with few spoons of rice vinegar while getting cooled • fresh raw salmon • avocado 🥑 • pickled watermelon radish (you can choose other type of radish, black/white and let it marinate for about 20min in hot water with a spoon of rice vinegar) • spinach leaves • sauce for salmon: soya sauce, fish sauce & sesame oil • spicy mango sauce for other toppings (smashed mango & Tabasco) • sesame seeds • fried onions • cilantro • mint // et voilà, bon appétit! @nativesparis so far the best poke bowls in Paris thank you for the inspiration guys 🌈 #foodtrends2018 #pokebowls #hawaiipokebowl #nativesparis #spicymango #foodtographyschool

We are back to this new restaurant on Rue d'Hauteville in the 10th arr. and this time the goal was to try other positions on the menu. Something other than Poke Bowls. The choice not too big - you have two dishes of Peruvian and two Japanese influence. Two of them are in Ceviches section and two in Specials.

As we love trying specials, our choice went to featured here "Poulpe Grillé" - one of the classic Peruvian dishes. Peru has approximately 3,000 varieties of potatoes so no wonder this dish has typical Peruvian Causa - mash of yellow variety with added lime, vegetable oil and Peru's famous Piquillo sweet chilli pepper. Here in Natives, they have decided to add a little spicy surprise - very useful in current weather in Paris - well-known Amarillo pepper. The little tower of cause is decorated with crunchy sweet potato chip and lines of homemade mayo spiced up by another South American pepper - apple-shaped rocoto. Little rocket salad adds some green colours to this beautiful dish where the main role is played by the grilled octopus - two fairly large tentacles - beautifully soft and juicy. It was a very good dish - rich in flavours, light and simple - just like we imagine Peruvian cuisine should be.
