Yesterday was #nationalrunday or #globalrunningday or #nationalrunwithyourdogday. I was told a few different things, but with it being a high of 73, I figured it was a perfect day (hashtag or not) to run. #thegoldenmiller has always been my favorite partner so we set out. ---
For a week or so now, he's been somewhat under the weather with an allergic reacting to life (no, I'm not kidding), but kept his upbeat spirit. Well, he must have been really tired because I couldn't even get one mile out of him without him lagging behind and the belt string tightening, so we transitioned to walking. ---
As I started in the new gate, God spoke to me and said "I want to walk with you." It's it amazing how God uses others to ensure He's heard, and that He was. ---
Prior to yesterday, it had been some time since we talked and walked at the same time, or I even talked to him out loud. It was so refreshing to get things off my chest and have that slowed down time to remember others and their needs. And if we had been running, I am sure we would have ran off our friendly friend, Ms. Deer. It was crazy how close we were to this creature and she was really intrigued with Miller because he doesn't bark and is scared of his own shadow. No threat there 😉. ---
I could say it was the birthday cake Tim Horton's #timbits that pushed me to rack up the miles yesterday, or the fact that Miller couldn't run so I walked longer to make up for that slower pace, but I know it was that special time with God that made me rack up the miles on whatever national running day it was. ---
His friendship is like none other.
