"Twilight Melody" [Please share my friends]
I decided to wait for one more evening in the Yosemite wilderness. My friend agreed. We wrapped the tent, sleeping bags, and other items and packed our backpacks. As the light started to change, we set out in the direction towards the sun. while Swapnil explored the ridge between the two cathedral lakes, I focused on the composition. the wind was extremely promising. the light was terrific even in the afternoon. The scouting really helped. After I captured the golden light on the peak in front of us, I swiftly came down towards the lake. The colors on the clouds were now quickly changing to the magenta and pink. The lake had taken an attractive curve and the pine tree was like placed by the mother earth to make this composition perfect. This was a feast for the eyes and the golden opportunity for the landscape photographer in me.
Just a few minutes after this, we returned to our campsite and took our fourteen pond backpacks, camera bags, and tripod and walked back to the trailhead for 5 miles through the beautifully dense pine forest of the Yosemite highland. Fortunately, we did not come across any bears, as we walked fast talking throughout the trail. I was totally exhausted by this long yet beautiful day and the night trek. Driving back for the next four hours, seemed like a monumental task. Like a young brother, I obliged to sit in the passenger seat to sleep almost continuously until we reached the east bay area at 1 am in the morning.
