Sacrifice is one thing that in this sport you need. My shows are in February and April which mean I'll be prepping through Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Orthodox Easter. Honestly it doesn't bother me as much as people assume. I am absolutely in love with what I do and I will still be with family and surrounded by those I love which is all that matters. 💕💪🏼

🍑‼️GLUTE activation. More important than you think! I used to neglect it but I make sure to do it before every leg day. The glutes are literally sat on most of the day, which is why they need some 'waking up' so they are better engaged during lifts. ✔️keep the band under tension making sure your knees don't cave in/the band doesn't go slack ✔️ keep your core engaged and spine neutral. I usually do these till I feel like I'm warmed up and my glutes hurt 😬🔥~ 12 reps per leg x 4 sets

Majority of people don't realize this and copy people's cookie cutter meal plans. The "all or nothing" mentality and white knuckling your way to losing thosd 5,10, or 15 lbs isn't sustainable. Yes maybe you can do it for 10 weeks and eat nothing but chicken and rice or juice for several days and hit your goal but what tends to proceed is the celebratory weight gain, or a long series of chronic binge eating. Most people then gain back all their weight and more. •⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A BETTER way to eat is by following the 80/20 rule. 80% of your daily intake is healthy and 20% is for "Fun food". Because eating food isn't just to sustain life, it is to enjoy life and bond with people around us. I had this chicken teriyaki bowl which was so darn delicious and I also got to have a bite out of a Five Guys burger, along with a few fries. I love fries and donuts SOOO much but using the 80/20 rule allows me to enjoy a bit and not binge later on. •⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ok Lauren, 80/20 sounds great but aren't you for counting macros? Both are great weight loss methods but they are only tools among many to help people maintain or lose weight. When you start coaching busy mothers, students, business owners etc, you will realize that there is no one size fits all approach. June —> This Morning 🙌🏼🍑 Not a massive change, but with the days I sometimes take off from my workout, the struggle to eat ALL DA FOOD on my meal plan (YAAA, trust me, you won’t be hungry EVER if you’ve been thinking of joining my virtual gym 😜🍕🥞...we all bout booty building here!) & working through the HARD shit like single leg squats & supersets 🙈 I’m dayum proud ahh myself for the progress I’ve made & REALLY excited about the fact that I haven’t had ANY “emotional” eating days, thoughts of my ED or regrets!
