#AmericanAirlines to bring new flight options to #CLT this winter American Airlines is adding new tropical flight options at #CharlotteDouglasInternationalAirport for travelers this winter.AA, which controls about 90% of air traffic at CLT, will add a third nonstop daily flight from the Charlotte airport to Nassau, Bahamas. It will fly passengers on an Airbus A320.That nearly two-and-a-half hour flight is scheduled to leave CLT at 1:20 p.m., the latest option, and arrive at Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau at 3:33 p.m. It will leave the Bahamas at 4:30 p.m., returning to Charlotte at 6:45 p.m.The new seasonal flight will begin Dec. 19, running through April 1.Also from Dec. 19-April 1, AA will increase access from Charlotte to Barbados with new daily, seasonal flight service. Currently, American only flies from CLT to Grantley Adams International Airport on weekends.The four-and-a-half-hour, nonstop flight will operate on an Airbus A319. It will leave Charlotte at 10 a.m., with a scheduled arrival time in Barbados of 3:30 p.m. It's scheduled to depart from the Barbados airport at 4:20 p.m. and arrive back in Charlotte at 8:25 p.m.Tickets for both seasonal flights are currently on sale.American Airlines Group Inc. (#NASDAQ: #AAL) had announced earlier this year that, beginning in late December, it would add new year-round routes at CLT to the small islands of Eleuthera and Marsh Harbour, both in the #Bahamas.
