Hi guys I’m back! There’s going to be a lot of info, so if you guys have any questions please feel free to ask me them 💞💞💞💞
YES I do cut my cuticles. There’s so much controversy behind doing this. Cuticles are DEAD SKIN. Therefore, it is SAFE and PERFECTLY FINE to cut them AS LONG as you’re doing it CORRECTLY AND NOT HURTING YOURSELF most importantly. If it HURTS when you are cutting your cuticles, THEN YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG and should ask for help. What some people don’t understand, is that you DO NOT NEED to cut your cuticles, it’s a decision to be made by yourself. In my opinion, you should only cut your cuticles if you do nail art regularly and have a lot of dead skin around your nail. It depends on the person, and whether or not you want to cut your cuticles. YOU DO NOT NEED TO CUT YOUR CUTICLES. Please ask me questions if you’re really interested on how I do it because I really do not know how to explain how to cut cuticles lol. 💞💞💞💞
MY NAIL CARE ROUTINE:
1️⃣- I wash my hands and then use 100% acetone nail polish remover and rub it on my nail with a cotton ball. This removes the oils off your nails and your manicure will last longer because most of the oil was removed.
2️⃣- Then I whip out my cuticle cutter 😂 (there are many different kinds and styles of cuticle cutters that are sold in beauty stores.) Cut off the dead skin CAREFULLY. Only cut the cuticle and not the skin around it. (LOOK UP PROFESSIONAL VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE OF NAIL TECHNICIANS CUTTING CUTICLES IF YOU WANT MORE INFORMATION ON HOW TO DO IT.) 3️⃣- I smooth and buff out my nails with a 4 sided buffer from Target. I do this so the surface is smooth and evened out. This isn’t necessary but does help with even application of nail polish.
