experimenting with resin and colours to fill nail holes in recycled timber. mixing with black oxide and turquoise and sky blue paints. thanks to everyone who has helped me and answered annoying questions regarding resin, it's much appreciated. man my lack of patience kills me during these kind of experiments! #resin#nailholes#recycledtimber
I've just been asked a question on you tube regarding nail / screw hole - filling them and their subsequent lack of taking stain - so while I'm waiting for glue to dry on some doors and an entry bench I quickly took some photos for a VERY quick 'how to disguise nail and screw fills tutorial #fillingholes#nailholes#hidingfiller#trickingtheeye which I'll put together now. The top pic here shows how a standard screw fill would look when stained straight over - the bottom pic is just using a couple of techniques to disguise them somewhat :)
From a happy customer! We were able to provide the perfect piece of barnwood for this client's shelf. Looking to make something like this? Give us a shout! New metal brackets will be in next week. #barnwoodshelf#interiordesign#seminolefarms
I wanted a quick project today and landed on these drink coasters. At slightly bigger than 5x5, these are big enough to handle whatever you can throw at them. These are made of reclaimed maple. I used a hand mixed stain color, and will be using 3-4 coats of poly. These will be on our etsy shop soon for $15.99 for a set of 4. Free shipping. . . . . #drinkcoasters#reclaimedwood#maple#rustic#coasters#birchwoodaugust#nailholes
A closer shot of the coffee table we delivered yesterday to show off some of the character of the reclaimed wood. 😍 The wood was salvaged from a building in Pilsen, stained walnut and paired with rose gold metal hairpin legs.
