I've been inspired by folks on here to stop buying the #probiotic yoghurty drinks and make my own #kefir which is fermented from a yeast culture and gives the same beneficial good gut bacteria as the shop bought products. I've opted for a water based one rather than using milk......adult life is silly at times as I've got excited that my culture grains have arrived today!
I've set it going with sliced ginger and lemon verbena from the garden so hoping now left at room temperature it's going to begin to ferment. I just need to buy a less refined sugar for my next batch as the grains should if fed and looked after should last indefinitely 👍
I have some more reading to do now 😊
