It's such a simple move, the shoulder press. Just lifting your arms above your head. How hard can that be?! Well, when you're fighting past your chronic pain and loss of motion it can be a lot harder than you think.
For me, somedays pressing 5 lbs is an enormous success and something that I want to shout through the rooftops that I did! And one day I did just that! Well, I didn't shout off the rooftops or shout for that matter but I posted that I fracking rocked a press in a FB group once.
I was so excited and then it came.... I got a comment from someone who judged from my physique that I should have been pressing way more than that and basically tore me down. I looked at the comment thinking WOW that guy had a lot of time on his hands to judge and tell me everything I was doing wrong.
Then I smiled you wanna know why?!?! Come on....
Ok ok ok I'll tell you lol sheesh lol
I smiled because I did a freaking press with 5 lbs! :D
Don't ever let people's judgments stop your successes! h
