📌 Follow @mychemicalromance.4rever for more 💓💓 📌 If you were to describe yourself to a sketch artist who could not see your actual appearance, what would they draw? What if someone else was asked to describe you to the same sketch artist? Would the photo come out different, or the same? The answer to that is that the image of you that you've described, and the image that someone else described turn out to be two totally different things, and therefore the drawings look nothing alike. Why is this? It's because everyone sees you for who you are, and you? You see every time someone told you that your hair was fucked up, or that your eyeliner was too messy. You see every time you wore a shirt that looked unflattering and you were paranoid all day, and drove your self worth into the ground just because your shirt lay awkward that day. You see every fucking skewed eyelash, every large pore, every lump and bump on your body that you've hated for so long, and tore yourself apart about many times. You see a emotionally clouded version of yourself, through a mirror. We have NEVER seen ourselves in person how we actually look, and never will. It's either a mirrored image, or a grainy 2D photograph. We have no fucking clue how we look, and so we rely a lot on what other people tell us we look like. But the problem is, is that we remember the comments people have made four years ago that weren't so nice, and we apply them to now. Why? We looked so different four years ago. Well, there is no reason why. And that's why you should stop fucking listening to yourself when you say "oh I'm not good enough, I'm not skinny enough, I'm too ugly." Because guess the fuck what: between the two sketches described to the artist, the sketch that was described by someone else was the one that was more beautiful. You will never, ever be able to see yourself for what you truly fucking are. You may be everything you've ever wanted to be, but will never know because your mind is clouded by emotion and bias. Remember that you are more beautiful to someone else than you could ever imagine. Be good to yourself.
