QOTD - Which author's life would you read a book about?
I've read a lot on the lives of classical authors, but not in biographical format. So mostly history websites and not full length books. The authors I'd love to read about in their own biographies are: J.R.R. Tolkien, Oscar Wilde, Bram Stoker, Dante Alighieri, and Mary Wollstonecraft and Shelley. Which would be cool to read back to back because they are mother and daughter. If you haven't read up on either of their lives before, I highly recommend both!
Mary Wollstonecraft was a philosopher and feminist in the late 1700's. Her views were very ahead of her time. She hoped that man and woman would be equal instead of one being superior over the other. Sadly, Wollstonecraft passed away a month after her daughter (also named Mary) was born. She was raised on her mother's A Vindication of the Rights of Woman, developing her own opinions based on her mother's work. And later she would also write. Creating one of the most renowned horror stories of all time, Frankenstein. Obviously I can't tell you guys their whole lives because it's books long. 😂 But it's very interesting to look up and hopefully read in a book. That's all, stay nerdy my friends! 💀🦇
