A pure white soul is a rare find,
Leaps of faith lost to bound;
The screech from the conch,
has fathomless sound;
Wisdom churns to a gullible storm,
making it for a myopic crown;
Petty pranks & fickle tricks,
wages the war with our blissful mind.
Skandamata comes in with treasures of wisdom & graceful desires on Panchami. The world knows her as the mother of our war god Skanda, Karttikeya or Lord Muruga (my family god both before & after marriage) who had to be born to destroy the demon Taraka. Mythical tales say that the Gods were wary of the fact that if Shiva & Parvati had children, it will be a mighty blow to them because a child of such mighty parentage will be too powerful to handle. Now the tell-tales say, Agni steals away the energy ball of their divine consummation. However, Agni himself get's burn with the blazing hot seed ball & jumps into Ganga thinking she will cool it. With her own challenges, Ganga lashes out the seed to her banks where it is found by six nymphs called Krittikas. Now, they beckon the seed and become the mothers of the six forms of Karttikeya.
As this mind boggling event unfolds, everyone fights over the rights of the baby who will be the God of war in the future. It's a mess until finally, Parvati took the form of Skandamata and gave way to the first scandalous adoption, setting a great example. Not just that, even if their divine seed was not born from Pravati it was wise of both Shiva & Parvati to accept the very first layered form of surrogacy in the history of mythical times.
It gives a leap of faith in knowing that in all that confusion, godly lineage of order in bloodline was not given an ego boost as compared to the warm comfort of raising a child by Shakti & Shiva.
Just my perspectives in play!
