Time moves way too quickly for my liking! This photo was taken approximately 12 months ago, a few days before Ava was born. I can remember taking the photo so vividly as Elissa was in tremendous pain from what the doctors suspected was a Fallopian Tube Contortion - one of the many diagnoses we received over two weeks being in and out of hospital.
I was initially so reluctant to take the photo as I could see she was struggling with pain trying to get into position. I told her not to worry about it and that we could try to get the shot when baby number 2 happens. Elissa being the strong, determined person she is, wanted to carry on to create the memory.
Looking back on this moment I realise more than ever just how tenacious she and how profoundly proud I am to call her my wife. Miraculously, the pain went away as soon as Ava was born. Elissa often remembers the agony and describes it being far worse than child birth - MALES have it easy ☺️!!
