It's another Friday 😁! I promised to teach how to make your rice water yesterday and like I said you can either use Rice water (I use this for my face toner) or the fermented rice water (which I use for my hair)
How to make Rice water:
Rinse a cup of rice then discard the water and add another water to it. You can either cook on low heat to quicken the process or leave it soaked for about 40mins stirring after every 10mins. As soon as the water changes color to the cloudy white your rice water is ready. Store in a glass jar and put in the fridge for use. How to Make Fermented Rice Water:
The process of fermented rice water is a little bit different from plain rice water.
Rinse a cup of rice then discard the water.
Steep the rice in 2 cups of clean water for about 40 minutes stirring every 10 minutes or so.
Afterwards, strain the water into a bottle and set aside overnight.
It should be left to turned slightly sour and start to ferment.
Pour the rice water into a pan, cook until boiling then remove from the stove and allow to cool.
Add a few drops of your preferred essential oils such as pepper mint or lavender essential oil. You can also add 5 drops of vitamin E oil.
Rice water should last up to a week when kept in the fridge. Always make a fresh batch afterwards.
