I had a great coach (and friend) in Seattle that use to talk about the "dark place" people go in workouts... how everything around doesn't matter and how all you feel is pain and keep asking yourself "why why why"... .

Fran is ALWAYS that dark workout for me... technically it's nothing crazy... a bunch of thrusters and pull ups... but for me it's a 5-6 min hellish experience where I look around for help and there's nothing or no one there πŸ˜‚

I know this sounds dramatic but it's very real for me 😭 I'm scared of pull ups and don't relish thrusters... I mentally prepared for this last night and... today I didn't go too bad but my timer clocked out at 5 mins.. I think I went under 6... as u can as I spend a lot of the time just standing around looking at the bar... questioning over and over why I do CrossFit and why I do these crazy things to myself

Committed (stupidly?) to performing 50 weight vested burpees each day for a month.. this is day two, and I'll be honest, strapping on that extra 10 kg was instant regret. But. @thatwouldbechelle and I did it, and it only (HA) took me about 4m40s. β˜ οΈπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ’ͺ🏼😎 Also, I sadly couldn't leave the music on the video.. I doubt Run DMC would've minded me using their song... πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

What an ugly jerk! 😬 Anyway.. clean complex today, 1 power clean, 2 hang squat cleans and a jerk. Capped it at 52.5kgs, mentally I couldn't reconcile lifting 55, so that was a big miss. 😝 That's ok. Pretty happy to have got this one POST metcon madness... πŸ€•

Caveman training today at @crossfit_s.p.e.e.d - teams of 4, 2 pairs, completing 12 minutes max cals on the #assaultbike and then multiple strength movements (ie. overhead lunges, dumbbell snatches, ring dips, burped over bar etc) and then switching pairs. As if that wasn't enough there was an 800m run, 100m tyre push and 20 push-ups as a buy out... 😡
