Soror: Keaunis Grant
Crossed Spring '14 I've always wanted to join a Sorority ever since I was exposed to Greek Life at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. However, I couldn't find the time to join a Sorority since my classes took so much of my time. When I came to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, my friend asked me to accompany her to an informational about Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority and it was then that I knew that I wanted to become a ZCHI.
Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority Inc. represents all of my life's principles: Education, Success, Culture, Service, and Sisterhood
In addition to knowing right away that I wanted to become a part of an organization that embodied these principles, I also got the unique opportunity to become a Founding Mother of the UWM Associate Chapter, now TAU Chapter. This challenge was the driving force that made me say, "Yes!" to this organization because it meant hard work to another level. I thought to myself that if I could pass the challenge of becoming a Founding Mother of Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority Inc., that I could do anything that I put my mind to. This sacrifice meant taking 16 credits for my Biomedical Sciences Program for the semester as well as dedicating additional hours to the soon to be New Chapter at UWM.
Since joining Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority, Inc. on April 13, 2014, I've learned so much about myself as well as my Sorority Sisters. I've learned so much more about Social Justice issues and what it truly means to be an ally for causes that do not directly affect me. I've had and continue to have support from my Sorority Sisters in a whole new way that I've never experienced anywhere else. My Sorority Sisters are my true family🍑🍑🙅🏽🙅🏽🖤🖤
