Recovery runs, in theory, are meant to increase blood flow to the legs to help remove lactic acid in the muscles from the previous day's hard run or long race.
In reality, they are just an excuse for a runner not to take a day off. 😃
Ran a few recovery miles this morning with fellow #TeamNuun member @themagnus262 after yesterday's 50k. Ok recovery runs are also a good excuse to go over to someone's house to meet their baby too!
