THIS IS WHAT YOU CAME FOR! I saw the partial solar eclipse from my deck in Minneapolis, MN through glasses I made with NASA approved Solar Filter Film...🌘 I knew it was going to get cloudy at the height of the 82% solar eclipse (the most the sun was covered here), so I started my viewing right around 11:50 when it began. It was truly magical to slowly watch the moon creep over the sun. It did get super cloudy by 12:30 which made me sad...but then a miracle came: there was a slight break in the clouds, right at 1:06pm, at the height of the eclipse for Minnesota. I had extra Solar Filter film and I saw my neighbor and her 3 young kids standing on the street trying to view without glasses. I cut the film into strips for them to put over their eyes and we watched together. It was sweet, it was simple, and we did see it at it's height as the sky grew slightly darker. 10 minutes later, it started pouring...Do I wish I got to see more, yes. Am I super grateful that I saw it at all...you betcha.
