Upon further reflection of my Nationals performance and my training over the past year, I'm not as disappointed as I had initially thought. Over the past year, I've become a lot stronger and have made a ton of progress. For example, last year at Nationals, my yoke time was 17.4 seconds and I dropped it like 3 times. This year, I had a smooth run in 9.47 seconds. Last year I carried the 200 lb H-stone a whopping 35 feet, but this year I carried it 253 feet.
So even though I didn't meet my initial goal of finishing top 10, I'm still pretty proud of my progress and grateful for the opportunity to compete with so many strong and awesome women. I also got the opportunity to spend some time in Vegas with a few of my biggest fans, so that was pretty neat.
