Marseille, France | Day Twelve (pt.4): It's been a little over three years since I've had a chance to see the homie @mrjmedeiros in person, an individual who's story is so dope to me. I had become a listener of his music back in 2006 or 2007, around the time he dropped a visual for a song called "Constance". I knew dude was art driven from the moment I heard it, and had always wondered what his run would look like long term.
From MTV and radio spins, to becoming an amazing father, to finding a home in France and leaving the music scene in the States behind. It's all been really dope to watch. He's a productionist, an emcee with a crazy range in vocals. And overall just a really dope cat to have in my circle. Like I said, it's been some years. Last time we saw each other, he was doing the (now shut down) Terrace out in Pasadena. Small venue like whatever, we hit those moments sometimes as artist. So to reconnect with dude in a completely different country, and see him back on the up and up, working with an amazing team, signed, and doing festivals and TV spots in Europe, I'm definitely coo with that. I'm glad he's in a chapter of his life where his music is evolving, and more importantly, being appreciated. He has over a decade in the game, and he's still an extremely underrated emcee in my opinion. Til next time brodie, I'll be back to take you up on the loft offer haha. #vonpoevii #mrjmedeiros #hiphop #respect #france
