Saw these stills from the movie Fitoor which have piqued my curiosity. 🧐 Reasons for watching this film: 1. The clothes look mouthwatering. 2. The film is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations 3. Tabu’s acting. Reasons for not watching this film: 1. I am unlikely to be impressed with the acting of anyone else in the film. 2. The treatment of Kashmir is likely to be annoying. 3. Nothing is more annoying than having watched a super long film that was awful and probably a bit depressing. If anyone else has watched it I’d be interested to hear your thoughts.
I buddy read this book last summer with @wanderonwhit and we both agreed that it wrecked our perspectives on motherhood and morals. Today I finally watched the movie. I believe it was a pretty good adaptation and I was able to follow along down to the lines in the letter written at the end. However, the background knowledge I had of Tom’s relationship with his parents and his struggle with connecting made for a better understanding of the character and his issues. I don’t know if viewers could’ve picked up on that without reading the book. Have you read it? Have you seen it? Let me know your thoughts. #humpdayqotd#thelightbetweenoceans#motherhood#michaelfassbender#booktomovie#buddyread#librarymovies#movieadaptation#thebookwasbetter
When I was a child I knew three things for sure: I had an angel. I loved my family. My mother was about to die.
What I didn't know was that my pregnant mother's suicide would spark a chain of events that would shadow my life. Ultimately, blind faith drove me to the ends of the earth searching for proof.
Defined by death. Driven by desire. Drawn to destiny... Juliette's Angel is a true story: it's my story. The first in Juliette's World Memoir Trilogy. Throw off the mainsail! Let the story begin! #faithhaswings
