One thing I’ve acknowledged as a coach is that one of the biggest fears people hold is the fear of admitting fear. “Oh no Alicia, it’s not fear stopping me” my clients have said. Well, then what is it? We must open up to our fears that create our own inner blocks. Truth is, most of us are afraid most of the time

Sometimes, you have to get out of your own fucking way. Acknowledge the fear and face it anyway

Strip it back down to the basics by balancing your shoe on your knuckles - a simple tool I learnt from FMS that forces you to execute this movement with more control & technique instead of just muscling it up with brute strength.

Fun fact Friday! Your adductors do more than adduct your legs. They aide in internal and external rotation, flexion at the hip and knee, and in some cases in extension! In other words, they are very important muscles that are often under trained and under valued. If they aren’t working then... 🤷🏼‍♀️ other muscles will try to do their job which could lead to injury! Reverse bosu split squats: one of my favorite dynamic stability drills. This requires dynamic stability of the hip, knee & ankle and proprioception or body awareness. Day 4 of the #sneakystrengthyoga challenge. Having so much fun with these! See @jenni_rawlings post for the original version yesterday. A little wobbly here! (And sped up again x2). I love opposite arm and leg movement, and I love coordination of the timing of the movement. Tried my best to get each arm to pass by its respective side at the same time, while also matching that movement to my legs transitioning at midline at the same time as the arms.
