Your workout doesn't need to be harder.
You don't need to add in an extra round, scale the weight up, or do a harder movement variation.
You just need to work harder.
Go faster.
As @sherwood215 said, "Often times when I want to make a workout 'nastier' it is accomplished through reducing elements, not increasing them. 4 Rounds become 3. 135lbs becomes 115lbs. Chest-2-Bar becomes Chin Over Bar." If you only do the shit you're good at, you cannot be surprised when your weaknesses don't improve.
Today, I did my lifting and then did two very simple, basic, CrossFit workouts. 5 Rounds of 20 GHD Sit Ups, 20 Push Ups. Rest 10min. 100 Bar Facing Burpees for time. Not complicated, not sexy, not a barbell in sight, and weaknesses that needed addressing.
If you see a WOD and think, "That needs to be harder," know that, no, it doesn't.
You just need to attack it harder.
Then again, maybe that's just me.

Hands down favorite truth. "____________" is a lot like moving a big-ass-pile of dirt... There's a blank to fill in because it turns out training in the gym is no different than training in life. Have you failed reps in the gym? Have you pushed through failure in the gym? Have you welcomed resistance into your life in the form of iron versus gravity, and either gotten buried or walked away stronger than ever? Good. That's life. Sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose!
