Had a great straight arm session and worked in these skin the cats with some handstand wall work the other day! If you aren't training any straight arm work give it a try! Great for developing scapular strength and overall shoulder health!!

My day was FUCKING AWESOME!
This type of workout is my absolute favorite, it's functional, challenging, and SO. MUCH. FUN. Never in a million years did I think I'd obtain the upper body strength to do those rings. I almost got them down & I JUST started playing on this thing a few hours ago!
Cannot wait to master this #MoveStrong equipment!!

Messing around and having fun with a DSL Bar by #movestrong
Before you start critiquing my form this video was done at the end of my workout I was super exhausted and did a high-volume hypertrophy workout.

I use a trap bar because it configuration allows you to step inside it rather than behind it. The long lever is shortened and along a horizontal axis that significantly reduces the amount of sheer force on the spine.

As a primary hip dominant exercise try using it in place of a traditional barbell deadlift especially for those that have history of back pain when training.

Interest in more look at the research by Swinton et al. on the biomechanics of the hex bar versus straight bar deadlifts.

Workout Wednesday! Day 2 of New Hypertrophy Cycle- Set 1: Bridge Press- 4 sets (8 reps @ 95 lbs/8 reps @ 115 lbs./4 reps @ 135 lbs./5 reps @ 125 lbs.), Set 2: Headbanger Chin-Ups (10 reps x 2), Wide Mountain Climbers (25 reps each side x 2), Wide Leg Raise Pull-Ups (8 reps x 2), Jump Lunges (13 reps each side x 2), Explosive Pull-Ups (5 reps x 2), Sit-Out Single Sides (10 reps each side x 2). This was also quite brutal, and will need to improve my endurance and form on my Bridge Presses to keep up the weight, and move forward to doing 3 sets next time of Set 2. #squatitlikeitshot🔥💪 When u couldn't hear a thing and the fact that she's obsessed with the shoulders every time I squat ! This morning I went on mind strong 💪 to hit 185+4 reps = 3 times which places me at a new squat PR when normally I end up with only one set for 2 at that weigh. I R.E.M. clearly last December on our last work out 🏋🏻 with my swolemate @stevenbobby25 and on my second rep he flipped out and stopped recording because he thought I wouldn't be able to bring it back all the way. This makes me feel so proud because I R.E.M. Setting the goal in my head to being able to drop it like it's light at 185 for 4 by the end of July which is a realistic 6 month goal to get me there. Well it's the 26th of July and not only did I just do one rep that's all I told myself, today showed me that with consistency & determination + mind right = Anything is possible #Strongerthanyouthink and I am so incredibly thankful for God sending me @nikonphotobug in my life to support & push me to the limits. If you're looking for a couple different ways to challenge your press, give these seesaw variations a try!

1️⃣ Straddle seesaw Z press
- I love this one because it requires so much from the system. Great for training overhead strength, body line positioning through the spine, and hip mobility.
2️⃣ Seesaw chest press from bridge
- This variation is not only great for building a strong press but also learning to control tension through hip extension ( not low back extension) with an applied load.
