Somehow I keep getting sucked into participating in media while I’m supposed to be on a sabbatical. I’ve had a huge outpouring of messages and texts, people asking in appointments, out for dinner, etc, why?! Followed by requests not to disappear. I do this for you guys. I do it because teaching is a passion. I have too much in my head NOT to share. So, I’ve struggled with what to do since I’m feeling a real need to put some focus on some things I need to accomplish. I will find the balance. The love you guys show me fills me up. I can be really decisive in many ways, but this one has been rough for me. As you can tell, my body has been requesting some time and attention. I feel an overwhelming desire to get back into working out, movement, and physical engagement. My mind needs a timeout. I meet very few people who actually tell me they love what they do for a living. I struggled with this at times myself. I had a good job. I was comfortable. I liked the people I worked with but at the end of the day it wasn't filling me up inside and I didn't feel like I was making much of a difference in the world.

1️⃣ It’s a mood booster! I didn’t work out for a week and then went to the gym last night. I felt so good last night and this morning. My mood went from crappy to super happy 😆 .
2️⃣ If ya don’t use it, ya lose it! If you don’t use your body it won’t be able to do the same things. 🤷🏼‍♀️

3️⃣ It feels good! Exercising or any movement you do release endorphins which are those feel good hormones 🥰

4️⃣ You’ll feel accomplished! Even if you only go for 30 minutes you did it and that’s amazing 🙌

Don’t forget that movement can take many forms and look different for everyone. Today stretching 🧘🏼‍♀️ felt good for me, but other days I just want to drop heavy weights 🏋🏼‍♀️

↪️Maximizing the amount of tension you create in most exercises can help put more pounds on the barbell, facilitate advanced bodyweight exercises, and help to solidify technique in a previously “unstable” joint (due to lack of coordination or unfamiliarity with exercise). ↪️Well, to provide an overview, the secret to increased strength is simple:

. ↪️Use the diaphragm to master the role of breathing for performance.

. ↪️Utilize localized tension in the hands and shoulders as you grip a weight.
.

↪️If doing an upper body exercise, tense the lower body. If it is a lower body exercise, tense the upper body.

↪️Maintain that global tension throughout the whole movement! .
.
↪️The band/chain combo does not elicit any further effect then each used alone. However, the band cause the chains to reverberate and sway. Thus forcing the athlete to maintain tension the entire time.

↪️A common flaw I see with athletes is lack of holistic tension and trying to get “all the reps done” without taking the time to properly execute each rep perfectly. .

↪️The addition of the bands is more of a cue and reference point then a training stress trying to improve upon a certain adaptation. —————————————————————
