The Canyon Fire, a 2,000-acre brush fire raging near the border of Anaheim and Corona, remains at only 5% containment. The flames have died down, but winds are expected to get worse this afternoon. Eyewitness @ryanpenhall posted this video from the 91 Freeway last night. The quick-moving blaze originated about 1pm Monday near the eastbound 91 Freeway at Coal Canyon Road. About 1,500 residents are under mandatory evacuation orders. More than 300 firefighters are at the scene, attacking the wind-driven flames with hoses on the ground and water-drops from fixed-wing aircraft overhead.
