Bhagsu is like a picturesque taste of Indian village life combined with technology.
Bhagsu waterfall is located in Bhagsunaag village, 2 kms from McLeodganj, behind the Bhagsu temple, in the district of Dharmasala, state of Himachal Pradesh. The waterfall is 7112 feet (2165 meters) in height. The name of the waterfall has been derived from that of the vanquished King Bhagsu. The folklore that makes it round in the place is that about 5000 years ago, Nagdevta, the snake God declared a war against King Bhagsu who dared to steal the sacred water from Nagdal Lake. The king was defeated by Nagdevta and forgiven. At this site was built the sacred Bhagsunag temple which gives importance to the king and to the snake god and the waterfall got the name of Bhagsunag. The temple is revered by the Ghorkhali community. #waferfall #Mcleodganj #LiveLife #KingSize #Bhagsu #InstaMe #himachalpradesh
