I usually don't post twice in one day, but today it felt necessary. I'm really tired of reading comments on the Internet on how 'weak people' (referred to people who struggle with their mental health) should not be doing certain jobs, or should be locked up in some facilities, or are unable of maintaining relationships.
Let me tell you something. Most people struggle with their mental health during their life. Some of them are just not 'educated' enough on the topic to understand it, or the stigma is so strong they can't accept they might be affected too. There is no better way of putting it: it's okay not to be okay. You should not justify yourself constantly for something you cannot control. You should express that you feel sorry and explain without judging yourself that this is part of your life. You should aim to try to be better next time, and then the one after. You should build up your support system, regardless who they are. Family, partner, friends, doctors or therapists. You need people that make you feel accepted. Not people that will abandon you when you most need them. It all starts with loving and accepting yourself for who you are. The rest should follow.

I find that people on Instagram act happy and motivated 24/7 without showing the negative aspects of their lives or of their training. It’s not always fun and exciting to go to the gym and workout. I don’t wake up every day thrilled to get my workout in. I don’t lift as heavy as I can everyday. Some days I feel weak and unmotivated. Some days I dread going to the gym. My motivation isn’t always there but my habit of going to the gym is. Sometimes I have to force myself to get my ass off of the couch and workout. On those days when I force myself to workout, even when I don’t want to, I always feel better. Some times those days end up being my best days in the gym and I get a PR on my lifts (not always), but these are the times where it matters most. We aren’t always going to be motivated in any aspects of our lives. You gotta make certain things in your life a habit and when the motivation isn’t there, you do it anyways. Where you are today and the goals you have in the future always need to be in the back of your mind driving you to push forward.🌟

Living a healthy lifestyle doesn't have to be hard, restrictive, or unbalanced. It really comes down to making a conscious choice every day to express love to your soul's vehicle.

But the reason this is not as easy as it sounds is because so many people are in combat with themselves. We must establish self-love and allow the loving actions to manifest naturally as a result of this.

The effortlessness comes as a byproduct to your choice to make a healthy lifestyle part of WHO you are and your daily non-negotiable list.

This doesn't mean you negate the opportunities to indulge in life, it means you no longer see or judge your choices by being 'good' or 'bad' but rather as 'serving' or 'limiting'.

In some cases eating the chocolate bar is WAY more beneficial to your overall being than saying no and munching on carrots even though you know you wanted the bar and it would have kept you from the binge session you have set yourself up for.

Week 5 of 8! Halfway done with this program and I am seriously in LOVE with the results so far - I’ve lost 3lbs (which is a big deal for me!) and lots of inches everywhere are missing except my arms... those baby muscles have GROWN! 💪🏼💪🏼 and I’m totally cool with that gain! .

The best part is is that I have tons more energy, I feel like I actually LOVE my body the way it is - never thought that to be possible after 2- emergency c-sections! - AND my pre-pregnancy clothes are becoming baggy! 😳😳 I know right?! .

I’ve been doing a workout program for almost a year now... so NO I didn’t just lose the baby weight over night, it’s come from being dedicated into getting a workout in and making healthier choices in my eating habits each and every day! I know I couldn’t have become this dedicated though without all the new and old friends I have doing these workouts with me! .
That motivation and accountability I get from running online fitness groups with them is the key ingredient for me! .

The Rest-Pause Method is simply the breakdown of one giant set into a few mini-sets with only 10-15s rest in between. The weight you choose will depend on your goal with 85%+ Strength, 70%-85% Hyperthrophy and 70% Endurance.
Here for example I chose I weight I can perform 6-8 Reps. I then Perform Max Repetitions, Rest 10-15s, Perform Max Reps again, Rest 10-15s , Perform Max Reps again = One Rest Pause Set.
It’s important to note that this type of training is extremely taxing on the nervous system and can be dangerous when you get tired, therefore it should be used with caution and better placed at the beginning of your workout. When in doubt, stop, and use a spotter where necessary. Remember your training has to be challenging and effective, but most of all SAFE! ❤️
