"People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing." #DaleCarnegie
It isn't what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about. If you aren't enjoying what you're doing, then why do you do it? It's never to late to fill your life with all the things you love, perhaps the only thing standing in your way is figuring out what those things are... -
Life's too short to be doing anything other than what makes you happy, I got that reminder in a very big way last week. Being told when you're 28 that you have Melanoma just feels so unfair. I shut myself off emotionally immediately after being told. I felt safer keeping everyone out. After allowing myself time to process ( AKA 2 days of laying in bed) I thought, "fuck this, I'm going to be fine" and began to move on. I put on my big girl pants, made the necessary appointments and continued to live my life. No point in wallowing and worrying about something I cannot change in this very moment. So instead of turning into a puddle of sadness I again filled my days with fun & all the things I love.
This world owes me nothing and my youth doesn't entitle me to anything. Enjoy yourself now, its later than you think.
