Sharing your work, especially when it comes from an emotional, interior place, has risks. I work to subdue the inner critic and worry less about who's liking or following. The work itself, creating something that hasn't existed before in the world and that will be evidence of my presence after I'm gone, comforts. I'm grateful for the opportunity to explore new places with people I love and see things that make me want to race back to the studio to paint. More new work inspired by Japan travels.
