Another stunning sunrise... caught at the tail end of the glowing pinks and oranges filling up the sky. *
Started on a different trail along a huge pond area. Heard big splashes and further on down the bank I see 4 river otters! Have not seen them in this area before. They were a good distance away but still were not pleased with a human and two dogs so close. Lots of hissing and diving back under water to swim further away. Fun to watch.
Then I head gun shots and realized why the river otters were over in this pond area. *
The pond is part of a large wetlands area that used to be popular for duck hunters.in the past there were months when we couldn't go on that trail because of duck hunting season. But it's been closed to hunters for a few years now. So the rifle sounds was a surprise.
Needless to say, didn't stay long. Which was too bad the otters were fun to watch!
Went across the way to another area we like to wander around along the bay. Gorgeous!
