Merlin sits quietly in from of me, down looking and ashamed.
"Merlin, it's alright. I get it, Freya is a very beautiful lady afterall."
"No Arthur, no no. You know there's nothing going on with me and her!"
I sigh, turning away from him just a little. I know that he'd telling the truth but I cant help but feel rage towards her, at Merlin for going with her, and at myself for being mad in the first place.
"Get out of my room. Now!" I try my best not to raise my voice, I think I failed by the way he fliched. I don't want to hurt him.
"Merlin?" I shout groggy, it's morning and light is coming through the curtains.
I get up, dress, and need to find Merlin. Now.
I run into Gwen, thank god.
"Gwen! Do you know where Merlin is?"
"Wha-what? No, why is he missing?"
"Yes. We got into a fight and I told him to get out of my room and he didn't come in this morning and I'm worried about him Gwen. I'm so worried that I drove him away."
I feel tears start to fall down my face, Merlin, please. I need you.
"Merlin." Freya coaxed him awake. He sat up and smiled a little.
"Thank you Freya for letting me stay here for a night while Arthur calms down. I guess maybe you weren't the best person to go to since it's you he's mad at but you're the only person he won't find." Now it's Freya's turn to smile. She nods at him and gets breakfast ready.
"I love you Merlin. I hope you know that."
"I know Freya, but I love Arthur. And I can't leave him, not forever."
Freya sighed knowing it was true but all too afraid to say much more. 'Sorry my love but I have to do this before you go.' She thought before adding the dust to his plate.
"Eat up, you'll need your strength for the walk back." She smiles sadly at the boy in front of her before starting to clean up.
Merlin finishes and saying goodbye, he leaves Freya who immediately starts to cry for what she had done.
"Merlin! Merlin! Where have you been? I've been worried sick about you!"
"I'm sorry Arthur, I am. I just needed a break is all. I'm back now and I'm fine!"
Merlin can see the tears that still fall from my face.
"Hey, hey, shh, shush now. I'm alright and we're together again. It's ok. Shh, come here." (Continued below)
