🍥Characters: Moon, Lillie and Gladion🍥
Nobody ever reads this caption, why would one do it now that this monstrous storm has raged out the last Nintendo Direct announcement.
I have low expectations.
Why? Because SM hasn't been out since even a year and we already got a sequel, that's crazy!
Consider that even B2W2 waited two years for the prequel game to at least reach a properly wide audience, to make players fall in love with the characters and enjoy the region: this way they will want to know what happens next.
But this time I feel everything is just rushed: the region is the same, the legendary fusion thing was already seen in B2W2, what are the creators counting on to make the fans buy the game? The story.
It is undeniable that SM has one of the best (if not the best) stories. But, to be more specific, it is not the story per se, it's the characters.
So wonderfully written, so adorable and realistic we do want to see how they'll be doing, since their plots have been left hanging open at the end of the game.
And yes, I am speaking about Lillie and Gladion's arch.
I admit I had not seen a character in Pokémon so deep and complex since N from BW. Their story is the strong column that supports this project which is as thin as air.
The Aether Foundation, the Ultra Wormhole, Type: Null, Nebby... those were strong premises, back when SM was released in November.
So, I think, Nintendo has better give us not a nice story for Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon: they need an Oscar-deserving plot that has to wipe away all the skepticism.
This is a real challenge: if the game fails at delivering this charm to us, the wonderful setting Alola and gen 7 are all going to be forgotten by the fans in a matter of months.
And then Gen 8 will eradicate the memories and the characters we liked so much, like sucking them inside a black hole. (I accidentally deleted the post. I wanted to upload a more HQ version of the 2nd picture but failed. Sorry.)
