First gym session back !
Taking it slow is definitely key in my situation. As much as I want to get back to lifting how much I was before my injury, I know that after 6 weeks in a moon boot, I need to slowly build. I did go straight back into netball after getting my boot off, which I knew had major risks, but because it was finals I felt like it was a risk worth taking. It didn’t pay of in the end as we lost our grand final by 4 goals, but I am now using my heart and my head to make the right decisions to get back my fitness and then improve.
My journey is not only about losing weight. I want to tone up, feel healthy, and be happy in my own body. Here in Australia we are coming up to summer, so basically, I live in bikinis. Every year I haven’t felt the best about my body, but I embrace it anyway. My body confidence is strong, and I don’t have many fears about exercising so right now I’m in the right mind set.
It’s time to eat healthy, live active, and be happy!
