People have been asking me how to mood chart since i mentioned it in my last post!! I did a post on it awhile ago so here it is again!! I have been mood tracking now for 6 months and it has been invaluable in my treatment. I have pieced together the rest of my life with what information i can remember which was hard because at the time i didnt know what to look for until now. I wish i had been mood tracking a lot longer! It has been invaluable in recognising patterns and these patterns have been of the greatest importance in recognising what needed to be treated. Not only does it track mood paterns but the one i developed tracks a whole range of things that affect our mood! Seeing these patterns too helps so much in preventative treatment which is ultimately key to our "recovery".I still have so much more to learn about my illness and i am so excited to keep mood tracking. I created this simple mood chart because ive used all the ones u can find online and they always seemed to be missing something. I started scribbling notes down the side because there were important significant life factors that needed to be noted! This is the one i made and am now using and is really simple but all inclusive. I take my mood chart to all my doctors appointments because it really helps them understand whats going on and what affects my mood. My treatment has become increasingly more successful because of this information! By tracking this information, i can become aware of events or situations that could contribute to the onset of a depressive or manic episode. Soooo many elements of our lives play a part in how we feel; whether it be amount of sleep, diet, exercise, medications taken, or stressful events. A mood tracking chart can quickly give you much information about what is going on in ur life that could be affecting ur mood. It also makes me a lot more accountable for my mood and actions each day. Although this is for #bipolar i think it can be of benefit to anyone #borderline #anxiety #depressed etc. It allows you to clearly see what has the greatest effect on ur mood! Invaluable insight!
