Day 20 // In the midst of all the goal setting, striving and reaching we're slowing it down today to appreciate our practice, self and life exactly as it is, without needing or wanting anything more. This is a yogic principle called Santosha, to be content with the now. To practice Santosha means that you're not only satisfied with everything as it is in the moment, but you have a sense of appreciation and gratitude for everything that brought you here. It's a good practice to stop in your tracks every once in a while, look around and smile. :) #monthofyoga #30dayyogachallenge

Before I call it a night I just want to remind you guys that even though you don't need a mat for the Day 1 #monthofyoga video you're going to need one for the rest of this month. It will give you grip and padding for a steady foundation in our flowing and power practices. Luckily you can find cheap mats all over these days! Barnes & Nobles sells ~$20 Gaiam mats, TJ Maxx has a bunch for $10-$15 and I found this cheapie at Target today in the dollar section when you first walk into the store! Yes, you'll get what you pay for and a nice mat goes a LONG way, but a cheap mat is still better than no mat. I admit, I STILL have several cheap waffle mats floating around my apartment & car. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ And in the end they can be repurposed a million different ways. Okay, good night and I'll see you tomorrow for Day 1!

Day 6 of my month of yoga is done. Had a great time in class at @abundantmoonyoga I did practice yesterday but didn't post because of the dentist so this is post for both days. You can't tell but this grumpy cat is actually purring. It's the little things. .

#day5 into September Month of Yoga. I'm extremely sore from yesterday's Bodypump/cardio blast. So today I will just be doing some gentle restorative poses. Day 18 #mermaidyoga Warrior 3 ใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒปใƒป Warrior 3 requires concentration, balance, and strength, all skills a warrior needs and that we need in life. The only true movement is that one hip is in flexion. But the entire body has to work to find stability. My life feels like it's stagnant and spiralling all at once right now, but no matter what, I always feel centered on my mat.
