Spencer. I've been following his work for awhile and since the beginning, always thought he had a really interesting look. Its satisfying when the veracity of the reality is what you anticipated. A friendly, grounded person with the ability to switch from a smile to a brooding mood in an instant.
I loved this shoot as we had the opportunity to showcase a lot of different emotions. When doing portraits, you need to give someone space. And most importantly, its about being yourself. Whether there's a bit of an ostentatious flavor to the finale, isn't that important.
The overall context just needs to tick all the boxes, and the biggest box is the one of individuality. Another is just being able to do as you please, without client expectations looming over you like an indecisive darkness.
