🐒 Eat like a monkey! 🐒
You might have seen my stories last night about veganism (yep, I said that word! 🤫🤪) and how my dad said he's making small changes in his diet! He's concerned about the environment and health so is cutting back a little on meat and dairy...p.s. my Dad is a very normal (Metallica & Five Finger Death Punch loving) guy. He recognised that we all need to make small individual changes rather than blaming the government or Donald Trump for the state of the environment 😂
I went vegan after doing a lot of research into it, particularly nutrition, and it's now known that we are biologically 'frugivores'...enter monkey 🐵 ...these badass little tykes do what nature designed their bodies to do when it comes to eating, and they too are frugivores. Basically a branch of herbivore that eats fruit, veg, herbs, nuts and maybe the odd insect (yum!) We have flat teeth with small canines for piercing tough fruit skin, long intestines, and we don't produce vitamin C in our bodies, like a lion or tiger.
If we ate a little more like these guys 🐒 we would see decreased rates of cancer, alzheimer's, diabetes, stroke and heart disease, not to mention skin and hormone problems as well as gastrointestinal benefits. But we don't all have to go vegan, just make a small change here or there. Maybe just one vegan day a week or cutting back on dairy milk?
