One year ago today. .
When I had the time and energy to do an hour of cardio in the morning and head back to the gym after work for weights. 🙈

Ain’t nobody got time for that now. But I’m doing what I can! .
Do the best with what you have where you’re at. 💪🏻

Bicep flexing with no pump is so depressing 😝 but gotta do it because it FRIDAY! Lower body is pumped from my workout and I’m ready to take on the day. Plan on heading to the grocery store, which will surely be a jungle, to get all the delicious food for the next few days. Although I may be cutting we have lots of entertaining and fun plans over the next week. My diet will not limit my enjoyment of the holidays 🎄 bring on the holly jolly and crazy kids!

I'm finally feeling like myself again☀️ Yay! .

This is definitely something to celebrate considering how I was feeling just a week ago

Since taking 3 months off of training and finally gaining my energy back, I've trained 3 days in a row this week and oh my goodness am I sore. Ouch!
.
.
I'm not lifting as much and I've pretty much stuck to body weight and some kettlebell work but I'm really focusing on activating my muscles through controlled tempo and tension and increasing volume (reps)
.
.
I'm hoping to get back to the gym by next week! .
.
Slow and steady wins the race.

Apparently our family elf Nelfie was digging our healthy brownie treats! 😂

Here's the recipe for a guilt free chocolate holiday treat!

Ingredients:
1 can {15 oz} chickpeas/garbanzo beans, drained, rinsed
1/4 cup extra-virgin coconut oil
2 large eggs
1/2 cup pure maple syrup {or raw honey}
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/3 cup organic unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 pinch sea salt {or Himalayan salt}
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray or line an 8×8 baking pan.
Place all ingredients {except for chocolate chips} into a blender. Blend until smooth.
Add in chocolate chips by hand until blended.
Evenly spread batter in pan.
Bake for 25 to 28 minutes until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
Cut into squares.

I woke up feeling a little sore, I'm nursing it today. Holiday tip of the day is to make a dish that you can take with you to your parties! This has SAVED my dinner time and time again at holiday parties. EVERYBODY ELSE ALWAYS BRINGS DESSERT! 😂

So here is a paleo/while 30 dish you can pack along!

Green Bean Casserole
Prep time: 10 mins
Cook time: 10 mins
Total time: 20 mins

Ingredients
1 lb Kielbasa sausage or turkey sausage
1/2 green beans, fresh or frozen- fresh end s a bit crispier
1 cup of chicken broth
salt/pepper
1/8 cup of sliced almonds

Instructions
Preheat a large pan over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until completely done. Remove from heat and set aside. Add green beans and broth to the pan. Keep heat on medium high and cook 3-5 minutes until crisp-tender.Return sausage to pan, add almonds, and stir thoroughly. Serve immediatel And be prepared for about one million compliments to the delicious dish!

I don’t know what it is about being able to get up early on Thursday’s but I end up staying up way late trying to get more done. Inevitably I have a super hard time getting up on Friday mornings.
