Food Porn? I think not. Gainz... yes!!! It not always going to be the greatest but it will do. I had to train myself to eat this way. Yeah did you think I went from a fast food, burger πŸ” eating, pizza πŸ• lover, to eating like this over night? It took me years learn and train to eat this way. I Learn to cook with fresh ingredients, I do my best not to buy process food. I want everything fresh. I even think it help a lot with my kids. They don't like it as much but I modified it so they can enjoy there meals more. I want to teach them to eat right so when they grow up they can eat healthy, be active. Since I had my baby getting back into routine has been difficult. Far so long I have tried to starve myself thinking that it was the way to get the results I wished and longed for.

I thought cutting my calories by the craziest amounts lol was the way to go, but I think God for placing this plan in my path. Being able to learn the proper eating habits and teaching it to others is a blessing in itself.

I no longer count calories because my meal plan in conjunction with my workouts have changed my entire outlook on this lifestyle.

I mean the proof is in the bowl ^^ lol. I could barely finish this plate of food. I continue to see that with the proper nutrient and exercise the results will come. I LOVE THIS lol I'm full now.

As a mom I'm always worrying about my daughters health. I begin their day with healthy breakfast and try to keep them away from junk food (although they are chip junkies like me πŸ™ˆ)...

Over the weekend I had an interesting conversation with a friend about what happens to our bodies when you start your day off with coffee β˜•οΈ. Although I knew most of the information she was sharing I felt sad that I had let my healthy morning routine out the door. *
I don't blame my daughters but myself. I LOVE πŸ’— coffee and always have and will, but I am making a conscious effort to start my day differently. * *
Morning stretches and no coffee until I have eaten a proper breakfast and drank a big o glass of πŸ‹ water. * *
I do have to admit that this morning the first thing I did was turn on my Keurig- it's a habit πŸ™ˆ-but I quickly realized what I was doing and turned it off and whispered "I will be back 😊) an hour after my new morning routine I enjoyed my first coffee of the day. *

I don't feel a difference yet but I do feel good about starting my day off right. *

Good morning!

Breakfast today was 1 1/2 hard boiled egg, with avocado and salsa accompanied with grapefruit and pears.....yummy. This reminded me how much my cooking has changed. In 2009, I would bake cupcakes for my aunts restaurant in Imperial, CA and decorate them with berries and fresh mint. Now, I decorate my fruit with fresh mint. πŸ˜‹ haha!

Motivational Monday

I have been shopping in plus size store for a long time. I no longer fit in plus size clothing and still have a very hard time shopping in "normal" size clothing stores. This weekend I was shopping for my daughter and saw on of their bigger size tank tops.... "Humm I wonder if it fits?" Was what crossed my mind....clearance item $4 I took it home to check. Ha! It fit....πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Yeah its the biggest size they have at the tween store but heck it wasn't what use to me my favorite plus size store. Kids had a good laugh thinking that's where I will be shopping...but that's OK.....πŸ˜‰ Picture on the right is my first before picture as in the first picture I took when I started my healthy journey October 23, 2013....left picture was yesterday October 18, 2015 Two birthdays for me day I was born on 10-21 and new me lifestyle 10-23
Now is the perfect time to start! Little steps... Small changes here and there add up.

Yummm......as daughter enjoys her cup of noodles.....and that smell (ahhh!) I no longer buy them, its her bday and she got it as part of her gift yesterday! Lol kids...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ its the simple thing they enjoy.

"If you want something you have never had, you have to do something you have never done!" Failed at waking up early today! I had to sleep 30 more minutes, going to bed late is no fun in the morning. Up at 7:15 drove daughter to school and @ 1:00 the guilt kicked in.....looked like clear skies so I took off before the rain.... Got home right before the flash flood warnings. Yay!....yet 5:30 and still no rain. Gotta stay safe when jogging with baby.

Half way through I was wondering why I was doing this run..... Still not thrilled lol this is why I run out doors, if I want to quit I still have to walk/jog back.
Humm maybe 75 miles for October was too much.....What do you think? Will I meet my goal?

Huge difference in my face. Its always hard to see the difference in myself specially my body. The only way I see it is in my clothing. I think I have pulled out the smallest clothing I held on to and its now big...ahh! My brain needs to catch up because I still see myself at (1yr ago) 226 lbs and not 175 lbs. (Today)

Transformation Tuesday & Non Scale Victory. 41 weeks ago on the top left ... 31 weeks ago on the top right. Even though I had plateaued I keep pushing and eating healthy...bottom pictures are from today. Same shirt....shorts were fitting snugged last summer and by the end of August last year I threw them in the garage cuz they were too tight.....pulled them out last month but barely got to wear then today....and best of all...they are big around the waist! Wooohoo!

A little Flashback Friday. Picture on the left was my first workout post on Instagram 87 weeks ago. I was so intimidated to post a picture of me working out. I started by not sitting to watch TV I would I would do steps up and down anytime I wanted to watch TV. Picture in the middle was within this last week. In an attempt to have something similar to oatmeal ....this surely hit the spot. Grain free oats! Say what! 😨 Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 1/2 tbs coconut flour
1 smashed banana
1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1/8 tsp vanilla
Walnuts
Cinnamon
Dried cranberries

In small pot over medium heat milk add coconut powder mix well. Add smashed banana and shredded coconut, vanilla, walnuts...ready to serve...I added walnuts cinnamon, and cranberries on top of my bowl. It was pretty good for being grain free. You may want to add more milk depending on the desired consistency. The walnuts and shredded coconut give it a nice texture to chew...enjoy!

Face to Face Friday
Wearing my Fit Junkie shirt today...decided to look for pictures with this shirt. Found a couple from this past year. It has definitely been a journey. It has not been easy but I have no regrets. Slow progress but its progress. One choice at a time. Don't starve, don't binge, eat right, stay active, get out of your comfort zone and you will get there.

Another non scale Victory!!! Had these shorts that never fit right. I started wearing them in April and I realized they are too big now. These shorts have elastic I am holding them because they do fall....not all the way down cuz my booty some how catches them lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Loving the results....slowly dropping those lbs. and inches! Enjoying every mile stone on this journey to a healthier me.
