Pedalboard Region 6 of 9: Synth Engine Effects Loop
The next four pedals, the first in the amplifier's effects loop, work together to add synth tones and ambient sounds.
Pedal 12: @ehx Electro-Harmonix Superego Polyphonic Synth Engine. This unique pedal takes a sample of the tone, "freezes" it, then sends the sustained sample through a mini-effects loop of its own (pedals 13, 14, and 15 are in this loop). It is polyphonic, has a "latch" mode to add layers of sound, and can add a glissando effect to slide between pitches.
Pedal 13: @ehx Electro-Harmonix Pitch Fork Polyphonic Pitch Shift. This pedal adds a variety of harmonies. I mostly use the octave up and octave down to widen the sound of the Superego effects loop.
Pedal 14: @bossfx_us Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble. This chorus has a wide range of frequencies as well as options for cut filters. You can dial it in to get some natural-sounding depth, kick it up to some 80s tones, or crank it into some otherworldly sounds. It sounds cool with the Superego.
Pedal 15: @modtoneeffects Modtone Vintage Analog Delay. This is a basic, yet useful delay pedal. Since I have this in the freeze loop, I mostly use it to simulate reverb, which works like a charm.
