This'll be my first game review; and it's so for many reasons.
The "New Gundam Breaker" game is an entirely different beast than the rest of the games in the franchise; for better or worse. Unfortunately in a lot of cases it's the latter. So far I've only put about 5-6 hours into the game so this review is subject to change over time. The new in game parts changing gimmick is tremendously flawed and draws away from the game itself. You only have an inventory of five parts before having to fly your way back to a back to transfer your parts to ensure you keep them after the match; oh, and the box moves each time you deposit. Every mission I've played so far has been the same 3v3 action with quests to do within the missions. However, I find the quests to be more of a chore in many situations. The enemy team is only in there realistically to annoy you and distract you. One of my biggest complaints is the removal of co-op missions and the ability to dash. On several occasions I was surrounded by the enemy team and was unable to escape a juggle simply due to no dash or dash recovery. The game is unfortunately plagued with frame rate drops and game-breaking lag. There are some upsides to this game. However, they are few and far between. It is a genuinely fun game and it looks great. The selection of Gunpla and builders parts are astounding. Unfortunately, I have been finding myself complaining more about the game than enjoying the game. As much as I hate to say it; I'd give the game in it's current state a 3/10. I'll continue playing it and trying to ignore the issues at hand with hopes that they will be fixed in the future. I'm just shockingly dissapointed with the direction Gundam Breaker has moved.
