Who: Suzie Welsh, R.N. M.S.N
Job: Former RN, Founder of @mybinto women's health supplements & Adjunct Professor of nursing @villanovau
Q: So what made you take the leap from nursing to entrapreneurship?
A: Healthcare in the U.S. just isn't accommodating to women, so I want to connect women with reliable healthcare professionals, and provide them with quality, reliable, personalized over-the-counter supplements.
Q: And what made you realize that women's healthcare needs help?
A: I went on a service trip to Africa when I was 16 actually, and knew ever since then that I wanted to affect women's health on a large scale. Nursing was my stepping stone into the healthcare field.
Q: Being an entrepraneur is far from easy... what keeps you going?
A: To be able to help women and see the reviews we get..there’s nothing more powerful and satisfying than that. I feel so blessed and thankful I get to do this.
Q: As a professor for the future generation of nurses, what message do you have for nursing students?
A: You're not just nurses. You’re so much more than that. Nursing is the future of healthcare. Nurses are the front lines in terms of patient care.
Q: Finally... what FactSumo deck do you like the most and use with your students?
A: The Metrology deck! If you can't do the math, you can't take care of patients... so it's great that my students can master the basics at home before they come to class or clinicals.
