Avoiding lockout at the top of your squat keeps the muscle working constantly, which is exactly what you want!
MYTH - Locking out at the top of your squat, squeezing your booty muscles and doing a hip thrust is not helping increase your booty muscle. This move is commonly performed on Insta-girls workout videos. Popping out of your squat, thrusting and squeezing your booty make your booty look good on camera but, as for getting the most from your workout, it's not adding any benefits to your workout.
You #must keep the tension in your muscles.
