3000 children from around the world converged in New York City for a 3 day UN conference. We went to the United Nations General Assembly today for the closing statements.
Aryan's school was one of the 9 schools from Canada that participated. During these 3 days the children talked about world peace, they became ambassadors that came together to discuss global crisis like Syria, nuclear energy and climate change. They learned diplomacy and leadership. Each one of them took the podium at different times and gave a speech about their resolutions and ideas.
The impact of an exposure like this on young minds is huge to say the least. The children learned to collaborate with each other on a global scale. And they were told by the leaders that this was just the beginning.....
I congratulate the 8 children that participated from Montessori school of Milton and their parents who are my fb and insta pals. To say these children make us proud is an understatement!
