UFC tonight, Nov 11. Dustin Poirier (21-5) -115 vs Anthony Pettis (20-6) -115, fighting at 155lbs. This is one of the more difficult matchups to breakdown tonight. Poirier has fought some solid opponents, with wins against Holloway and Joe Duffy. However, he has has not had the best matchups since his KO loss to Mcgregor in 2014. He was finished by Michael Johnson in '16, and did ok with Alvarez his last outing, which ended in a NC. Pettis has been struggling his last 3/6 bouts. He was even losing vs Oliveira but ended up with a submission victory. He got mopped by Holloway. Jim Miller was his last outing, a solid win. This fight will come down to the WILL to fight. Poirier will likely do well the 1st rd, but once Pettis imposes his will, Poirier will begin to lose steam on the cage. Pettis will have to make this ugly, but I see him winning tonight vs a great competitor. Pettis wins via SD. If Dustin can keep pace, he CAN win a UD, but I dont see it tonight. Pettis puts his name back on the radar.
