P E A K W E E K: day six.
Here's the deal, 3 / 3 of the marathons I have run have had 20mph winds. So why would I not tackle my longest run of the training cycle on a day with a wind advisory 💨😜. My number one goal the past few months has been to be mentally tougher. To push harder. To go longer. To not be fearful of 20 mile long runs at an 8:40 pace 100% solo. I've used the same training plan, same workouts, but had a much different (more positive, less doubtful) attitude. Oh, and I added a 20 miler because mentally, marathons have a hump, and that's where it happens 🐪👊🏼! All in all it feels good to have the hardest weeks behind me (well, after tomorrow's recovery run), and to know that from here on out, my heart has to do all the work ❤️. It has to BELIEVE ✨.
