This particular picture was taken at around 01:00 on the island of Senja in northern Norway. On days like these, when the weather is fine, the midnight sun covers the mountains with a warm, yellow veil of light. It’s funny to imagine that beyond those mountains you see is nothing but ocean all the way up to Svalbard, at about 77 degrees north. And they say the arctic is cold?
