CROWDSOURCING: Using this iconic photo from the first day of school to invite feedback from parents. At first, thought the contrast in emotions was simply because my grand daughter was eager for school to start; and my grandson, didn’t want summer to end. Instead, learned this nine-year old was angry at his parents because their move to a new town took him away from his best friend.
Two sets of questions:
HOUSEHUNTING: (1) What site(s) or sources have you used to identify good school systems? (2) Have you found any social media channels to be effective? (3) If you live in Greater Boston and are a Harvard / MIT alum or affiliate are you able to tap into peer-to-peer networks you can share privately with our new client?
TRANSITIONING: (1) Do local schools systems or other resources provide support to families moving into new towns? (2) How have you tried to ease the transition from one set of friends to another? (3) Best way for our homebuyer clients to interact with other families who are not just the new kid in school, but new kids on the block?
#RealEstateCafe invites other parents who share these concerns to meet offline to exchange insights, perhaps over beer (aka #REonTap).
