#LebaneseCars had the opportunity to test drive the all new MINI JCW (John Cooper Works) on the Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Here's our quick review.
The new MINI produces an amazing 228bhp (even faster than the MINI John Cooper Works GrandPrix built in 2012) from its 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with a 23% torque increase making it to 320Nm, while the Cooper S produced 189bhp.
It is Equipped with a six-speed automatic gearbox, does 0-100km/h in 6 seconds.
The mighty MINI has a quick shifting gearbox and is actually fast on track, takes corners softly yet perfectly.
Mini added new suspension settings to the JCW as well as Brembo brakes which make its handling sharper than the Cooper S. You can definitely see the old MINI GP rims in the latest JCW. The exhaust system’s been modified too, it now produces a beautiful and an even louder soundtrack.
The front of the vehicle has three distinct levels of air intakes with extra ones to facilitate the heavily boosted engine cooling.
It is not a surprise that this sporty car has color-stitched leather steering wheel, Bucket seats, stainless steel pedals and other well-detailed symbols of this special MINI. The optional heads up display has added settings featuring rev lights and a gear indicator.
Four words describe the driving experience of this car. Fast, Stable, Fun & Impressive.
